This listing is designed for centered hood and roof applications on clean, smooth exterior vehicle surfaces. Your design may include custom names, phrases, quotes, graphic-only artwork, or a combination of text and graphics. Popular design elements may include claw marks, mountains, trees, splashes, stripes, silhouettes, and other coordinated cut-vinyl artwork. You may provide a written idea, inspiration image, sketch, graphic, or multiple reference images to help create your custom design.
Centered Hood Decals are proportionally sized to complement the usable hood area while accounting for hinges, vents, windshield washers, raised body lines, hood hardware, and other obstructions identified through your measurements or photographs. Centered Roof Decals may be created as one large design or divided into coordinated sections when needed to work around roof grooves, removable panels, seams, racks, handles, hardware, or other vehicle features.
Available size ranges include up to 24" × 18", 36" × 24", 48" × 30", and 60" × 36". The size selected represents the maximum overall proportional design area included with your order. Your finished decal may be shorter or narrower depending on the wording, selected font, graphic proportions, shape of the application surface, number of layers, and available measurements. Intentional open spaces between letters, graphics, stripes, claw marks, or other design elements are included within the overall dimensions. Designs larger than 60" × 36" require a custom quote.
Choose from Text Only, Graphic Only, or Text + Graphic designs. Text Only may include names, sayings, quotes, phrases, stacked wording, repeating text, or other custom layouts. Graphic Only includes a custom cuttable graphic without personalized wording. Text + Graphic combines your wording with one or more coordinated graphic elements. Highly detailed artwork, photographs, gradients, shadows, or full-color images may need to be simplified so they can be successfully produced as cut vinyl.
Single Layer designs use one Premium VViViD® Vinyl color or finish and work well for bold text, silhouettes, claw marks, stripes, and simple graphics. Double Layer designs use two coordinating vinyl colors or finishes and may include an outline, offset, shadow, two-color graphic, or separate text and graphic colors. Triple Layer designs use three vinyl colors and may include a fill, contrasting outline, outer outline, shadow, or multi-color graphic combination. Each additional layer requires separate cutting, weeding, alignment, and assembly. Large layered designs may be supplied in multiple coordinated sections to make installation more manageable.
Premium VViViD® Vinyl is available in a wide range of specialty finishes, which may include Gloss, Matte, Satin, Carbon Fiber, Chrome, Ultra-Finish, ColorFusion PPF®, metallic, color-shifting, textured, and other specialty films depending on current availability. Specialty finishes may appear different depending on lighting, viewing angle, and surface contours.
When ordering, choose your hood or roof placement, decal size, design type, number of layers, vinyl finish, and colors. In the personalization field, provide your vehicle year, make and model, two-door or four-door configuration when applicable, hood or roof placement, exact wording, preferred font or style, graphic description, vinyl color for each layer, maximum usable width and height, preferred orientation, and any important placement instructions. After ordering, send any inspiration images, graphics, sketches, or vehicle photographs through the contact option provided on our website.
Because hood and roof dimensions vary by vehicle model, generation, trim level, aftermarket parts, roof style, and hood configuration, please measure the actual smooth application area before ordering. Measure the maximum usable width and height and account for hinges, vents, windshield washers, raised body lines, roof grooves, removable panel seams, racks, lights, handles, and other hardware. Do not include textured plastic, rubber trim, glass, hinges, vents, seams, damaged paint, or hardware in your usable measurements. A clear, straight-on photograph with a measuring tape visible is especially helpful when determining the best proportions and placement.
A digital proof will be provided before your decal is cut. Please carefully review the spelling, font, graphic, layout, colors, layer arrangement, design direction, approximate proportions, and placement around vehicle features. Production begins after final proof approval, so delayed approval may affect the estimated completion date. Your decal will be created according to the approved proof, and all requested changes should be made before approval.
Each decal is precision cut, professionally weeded, and prepared with transfer tape when appropriate. For best results, apply only to clean, dry, smooth, properly prepared vehicle surfaces. Do not apply over textured plastic, rubber trim, glass, hinges, vents, damaged paint, peeling clear coat, rust, wax, ceramic coating residue, or recently painted surfaces. The buyer is responsible for confirming that the selected dimensions fit the intended application area and that the chosen placement complies with applicable vehicle regulations.
Before installation, thoroughly wash and dry the surface, remove dirt, wax, grease, polish, and other contaminants, clean with an appropriate residue-free surface cleaner, and allow the area to dry completely. Installation should be completed under suitable temperature and weather conditions. Transfer tape and installation instructions are included when appropriate for the selected design. This listing is for the custom vinyl decal only; vehicle installation is not included.
Production time is approximately 2–5 business days after final proof approval. Complex, oversized, double-layer, or triple-layer designs may require additional production time. Estimated U.S. shipping is 3–7 business days after production and may vary by carrier and destination.
Colors and specialty finishes may appear slightly different depending on screen settings, lighting, viewing angle, and the material selected. Please double-check all spelling, measurements, placement details, finish selections, and colors before approving your proof. Personalized products cannot be returned or exchanged after proof approval and production unless there is a manufacturing error. Application results depend on surface condition, preparation, installation technique, temperature, and environmental exposure.
